Soroptimist Hood River Names Three Women of Distinction

Soroptimist International of Hood River is proud to announce this year’s Soroptimist Women of Distinction honorees:

Silvia Maciel
Janet Hamada
Gladys Rivera

The Women of Distinction Awards were started in the 1970s as a way to recognize remarkable women who have significantly contributed to improving the quality of life in Hood River County or have positively impacted the lives of local women and girls through their professional or volunteer endeavors.

After a four-year pandemic pause, we began again this spring to request nominations. We are happy to showcase three of Hood River County’s best examples of women making a difference.
